I was driving into San Francisco early morning. Fall had just started and it was probably the first rainy/cloudy day this season – in fact it even rained later that day. It was quite fascinating to see the surreal display of light on water, mixed with the container ships making their way to and from the Port of Oakland and around.
This was an HDR edit using the recent feature update in Lightroom. This let me see the image histogram extended into HDR while also being able to preview it in regular sRGB without HDR using tone-mapping. Below is a preview of what the image would look like on a non-HDR display while the histogram assures me that on HDR displays it would look fine.
