Adobe Premiere now features Generative Extend i.e. you can drag a clip to fill in gaps in your timeline and it will generate an extension to your clip to try and fill the gap. An alternative to this in the past was to slow down the clip to fill the extra space. This is a pretty obvious use case for generative AI. But it also represents not just speeding up of old workflows, but a new way of thinking about video creation. Instead of capturing footage that has to be meticulously edited, lined up, with cuts etc … it may be possible to just capture the “inspiration” points and then have the rest get done to completion.
