I got rid of my Amazon Prime membership at the beginning of this year. Just reviewed that I still ordered a total 14 times this year and 4 times was for an actual book (oh nostalgia π).
I realized that Amazon itself was simply giving me what I want. I wanted things fast. And I wanted things now.
But by slowing things down I realized there was no real need for things to be any faster. And I ended up with way lesser number of things than I otherwise would have. And I actually did go to local stores more often than not. And yes it took me longer. And many times I actually returned without buying anything and just abandoned looking for it. And I was happy that it worked out this way. What would I have done with that stuff and the time saved anyway? βΊοΈ
